YouTube and Facebook is Officially Banned in Pakistan
Worldâs top Internet suffering site YouTube and Facebook is now banned in Pakistan as protest against Film Insulting The Holy Prophet (SAW) . Users lost access to YouTube and Facebook for several hours from Sunday but now YouTube and Facebook are officially banned by Pakistanâs government.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry ordered Pakistan Telcom Authority to block all the sacrilegious content on social website (YouTube) including the anti-Islam film. Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf has also directed the IT Ministry to immediately block YouTube. YouTube (video-sharing website) failed to remove the anti-Islam film ( Blasphemous ). In response the PTA said it had directed Internet Service Providers (ISPs) throughout the country to block links of the anti-Islam film. According to a statement issued by the PTA, 750-800 links of the anti-Islam film had already been blocked after several complaints were received.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has directed the IT Ministry to immediately block Youtube.
