Former President Pervaiz Musharraf held in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi Murder Case after Bail in Bugti Murder Case

ISLAMABAD - Police team headed by SSP Islamabad Dr Rizwan investigated former President Pervez Musharraf at Chak Shahzad sub jail and arrested him in the murder case of former Lal Masjid cleric Ghazi Adul Rashid and his mother.

The former president would be kept at his house that had been declared sub-jail due to security concerns. Meanwhile, Musharraf’s security bond in judge’s detention case could not be submitted.







Earlier, the Supreme Court issued written orders of Pervez Musharaf’s bail in Akbar Bugti murder case against two surety bonds amounting Rs 1 million each.

The court official handed over the release order to the sub-jail authorities on Thursday. The former president was has already been granted bail in Benazir Bhutto murder case.

Talking to media outside the Supreme Court counsel for former president Pervez Musharraf, Ibrahim Satti, said that written decision of the SC on acceptance of bail plea of his client has been received in Akbar Bugti murder case.

He said that former president Pervez Musharraf was a free citizen of Pakistan and he has every right to go anywhere. He will complete all legal formalities in this connection, he underlined.

“Our job ends with acceptance of bail plea. What he does in the days to come, I am unable to say something on this count”, he remarked.
